During recent weeks, prior to the new school year, the state has overlaid and repaired most of the road surface at UAM.

The remaining section, located in front of Chick-fil-A, will be paved when the nearby parking lot is placed in service.

This past Saturday SeaArk Boats hosted a back to school pool party for the kids of Arkansas Baptist Children’s Home of Monticello. SeaArk donated food, school supplies and refurbished canoes for the center. (more…)

On August 24, 2017, the Drew County Sheriff’s Office and the Drew County community suffered the loss of Deputy Tim Braden. Deputy Braden lost his life in the line of duty in a vehicle accident.

On Friday, August 24, 2018, the one-year anniversary of Deputy Braden’s ultimate sacrifice, there will be a memorial ceremony at 6 p.m. on the steps of the Drew County Courthouse, according To Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober. (more…)
