2 Wrecks in Drew County Around 5 PM Wednesday
Published by Joe Burgess August 14th, 2008 in WRECKS.Around 5 p.m. Wednesday, James Renfroe of McGehee was leaving Monticello on HWY 278 East around 2 miles east of town, when he lost control of his Honda, while trying to break to avoid a vehicle stopping in the road in front of him. Renfroe did not need an ambulance, and was going transport the Honda home.
Also around 5 p.m., 2 vehicles were involved in an accident near Fred’s Department Store on HWY 425 South. One person was transported to Drew Memorial Hospital. The Cadillac was towed by Lock and Keys, while the Ford was removed by Triple A.
