2 Break-ins Reported on HWY 35 East
Published by Joe Burgess August 18th, 2008 in Police /Legal.Two burglaries were reported late last week, according to Detective Rick Rausch of the Drew County Sheriff’s Dept. Both break-ins were reported Thursdaymorning, and both took place on HWY 35 East of Monticello, one near the Enon community, and the other near the railroad crossing, farther east, towards Collins.
In one case, the back door of the residence was kicked in. Entrance was gained at the other home by breaking out a window in the back of the house.
In one case, two older long guns were taken, but in the other, a list of items were stolen,
The investigation is continuing, and anyone with any information, or who may have seen a suspicious vehicle of person, is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 367-6211.
