Drew County Man Gets $50,000 Bond for Alleged Rape Of 8 Year Old

Drew County Sheriff’s Department authorities arrested Mark Baty, age 30 of Winchester, on September 1, 2013 on charges of rape and sexual assault. The alleged victim is an eight year old female that had been visiting the home at the time of the incident. Authorities were alerted when the mother took the child to a local hospital on august 31st.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Department, along with an agent from the Arkansas Crimes Against Children task force conducted interviews and collected evidence.
Baty is being held in Drew County Detention Facility on a $50,000 bond.
